The simple pleasures of the 1950's are where I've made my home. Although I'm not a product of the 50's, I had great inspiration from my grandparents. Growing up in southern California I spent a lot of time at their California style ranch house full of 50's goodies. My favorite memory is of their lucite fish bowl lamp. I started in the business working for my mom by the time I was seven years old. I helped her set up and sell at flea markets and street fairs. She proceeded to have several store fronts over the years.

Through her encouragement I opened my own store in 2001, surrounding myself with all the things I love. Opening Fred and Ethel's was my first attempt at the business for myself. I've since moved twice and this third location is my permanent home. The addition of this website is my way of expanding once again without having to move!
